Many are under the illusion that the kind of abandoned property found in government auctions are mostly houses or bungalows, and are probably decaying, decrepit, or otherwise undesirable.

However, each government agency to maintain its independent auction. A far more effective strategy is to enroll in one of the many government auction membership sites, which aggregate these lists into a single site.
